How this started....

So of course we have hit a time where money is tight for many, and typically its at these times, where the most inopportune things come up, that can really throw us some financial curveballs....So many are struggling to JUST get by...it's not easy, I know it takes a hit at pride, and its often something that we cannot just make "go away" quickly enough....
Its amazing what a few dollars on some news papers, or some ordering of coupons, can really do....
Some may say..are you crazy? You really buy, that many papers??? You ORDER and PAY for coupons??/ I SURE do!!!! ..WHY???...Because i guarantee that I save far more than 5-10 times what i spend doing it, and quite often, MUCH MORE!!!
Saving is an art..and not something you can really do half way. Sure, you can cut a corner here and there, but you will probably, wind up right back at where you started...
How do i know this?? BEEN THERE!!!
I mentioned...that life throws, those curveballs, right?? And we have all heard, "when it rains...it pours..."..well I am finally gathering a MAJOR league batting average on those curveballs...and the SUN does start to poke out, after the storms...
Life has handed me MANY of lemons...really enough at once, that I could have supplied many with lemonade!!! I spent many days wondering, just what  I was going to do...how I was going to pay my bills, and the used to often "WHY ME??" and "CAN I GET A BREAK..."
But..then I realized....you get ANYWHERE I had to be proactive. The Electric company certainly was not going to care if my life was falling apart in ten different ways...nor was the gas company, the mortgage company,...you get the point.....Now...where I was going to get the money...with so many things making it borderline impossible....was the harder question!
One night, I stumbled across the now well known show "extreme couponing"....and thought to myself....these people are onto something....
I could do that...well,  minus the extreme...
Why minus the "Extreme"???..Because...I think its WASTEFUL...and as previously explained..I did not have the room to waste...not in my closet, not in my life and certainly not in my life....
Is it really feasible to take up space, with items that you will probably never use, just to brag about how cheap you got them? (IE..man with always pads stockpiled!!!!)...Yeah..not so much....
Instead I focused on what we did NEED...when we needed it...and where to get it...how I could find the best deals, on as little a budget as possible for things that we would use within at least the MONTH!. I do NOT shop any further than that....RARELY, I will I grab something that could possibly last longer, if its FREE or pretty close, BUT, I give it to a family member, that CAN use it near immediately!!! And a few times I have donated women's items to the women's shelter...but that's it!
To each their own I suppose...but being wasteful, stockpiling, buying ridiculous things in ridiculous quantities that I do not even like, use or care for...like I said, to me serves not a single purpose..and really just does take up more time...
because its NOT easy to calculate coupons, loyalty card discounts, fuel perks, combos, etc. It does consume time and energy....but to me, its worth it!
I can lower my purchase totals by 30-90%, and have extra money then to redistribute to other areas....
The "horrible, hard times" of course, with a ton of work, devotion, prayer and strength....did pass by...but i WORKED for them to pass by. I don't play the oh poor me..because we ALL have the ability to change our lives and we ONLY get what we allow. Of course certain things are beyond our control...many of my cirumstances i NEVER saw coming....but they did...and that happens often. If we could predict them, most of us would avoid them! ((of course there are those, that know they are in trouble, know what they do not have and continue anyways to repeat mistakes, live thru lies and just not care....and again...everyone has their OWN perogatives! And its certainly not my job to judge...
We will also include fast recipes, on a budget, for those that need as MUCH time saving as possible...cheap activities, fun tutorials, and so  much more! We all come froma different walk of life...and being a mom is definitely a difficult job, a single one even more so...but, in the end...most of us share the same things..we want time with our families, a stable career, to have extra  money in the bank, and to be able to relate to others and have others be able to relate to us....I know i have felt countless times, like NO ONE could understand..but I also am well aware there is always someone worse off....and I know...in some way, some how, many of us share some common ground...even if its just a tiny little piece..
So...
Now that I have gotten to "how this started..." We can move on to "Where to start, How to Coupon, Policies, Extras, and more!"....
I will share my trade secrets...explain how to do it, and try to simplify as much as possible!
It will be a LOT to take in...but take it in turn...apply it as you can...and as you want...and enjoy!
